End of the Year Party 2024

for MUN, YAG, Red Cross . . .
End+of+the+Year+Party+2024

If you have attended a mainly YMCA funded activity at Infinity Institute, there is a party/awards ceremony being held on May 21st, on a Wednesday. There should be a link or assignment with a link that has been added to your club google classroom, and from there you should be able to RSVP for the date. If you do not RSVP on the google forms, you will not be able to attend the party.

side note: YMCA stands for Young Men’s Christian Association, and it is commonly referred to as The Y

Invited Clubs:

-Model United Nations

Mock Trial

-NJ Youth and Government

-American Red Cross

-Muslim Student Association

-Youth Council

In the 2023 – 2024 school year, as an eighth grader, I participated in Model United Nations and NJ Youth and Government. Some of my friends have also participated in Red Cross and the Muslim Student Association.

And if you can, please donate some food that will be provided at the party. The YMCA and Red Cross will be funding for multiple foods at the event, but it will be nicer if there is a greater variety to the foods and potentially even a greater portion. It’s also important to realize that the YMCA has helped Infinity Institute out so much with it’s finances, and they deserve for us to share that same respect they did with us.

Additionally, photos of the members who participated in these activities our outside of the computer lab in the basement (Ms. Tate’s room). Some of the photos even have me in them!

Google Forms have been sent out in which you can discuss about what items you can bring to the table during hosted event. Firstly, you must list out whether your going to be bringing what of the following:

(remember that you can bring foods from multiple categories)

  • drinks (non-alcoholic! — juices, soft drinks, etc.)
  • desserts (brownies, cupcakes, etc.)
  • snacks (chips, crackers, candy, etc.)

This party is meant to commemorate and highlight the memories and achievements that were made throughout the time students spent participating at these clubs. It is meant to not only thank the students themselves for putting in the work to make those achievements, but also staff and faculty members who made these events themselves possible. This includes the YMCA.

I would like to thank Ms. Tate for helping out in many of these activities as it is no easy task trying to raise money and organize finances while teaching people and getting them prepared for various events.

I would also like to thank many of the high schoolers that made events like YAG and MUN possible. Many of them taught their peers about these experiences with their slide show presentations and such, and some of them helped us middle schoolers out as well to become the best versions of themselves entirely.

Middle School ‘Tutors’ (specifically) :

Middle School Model United Nations ‘Tutor’ : Amber Mccaskie

Amber has moved to another school district, and we miss her a lot but we also understand that the school she chose to go to will allow her to become the best version of herself in one way or another.

New Jersey Youth and Government ‘Tutor’ : Margarette Rivera

I participated in MUN and YAG so I only know about the members in both programs for our school.
