If you have read any of our other articles, you may know that we are writing from our biased perspectives. If you have followed us, you probably don’t know what biased means, well it is to be unfair toward something.
Before we dive in, we first need to say this: Congratulations to the new NHS leaders and inductees for the school year of 2024-2025!
Background of NHS:
NHS is National Honor Society for high school students. The four pillars of the NHS that are needed are the following: leadership, service, character, and scholarship. The main colors of this organization are blue and white.

Ceremony Routine:
After your name is called, you will have to sign a contract proving that you are now a part of the NHS. Then, you will light up your candle which bestows the eternal life of knowledge. This candle represents eternal growth and lifelong learning.

To endeavor intelligently and courageously
to be a leader,
To give of myself freely in service to others,
And to hold as fundamental and worthy
An untarnished character.
In so doing, I shall prove myself worthy
Of a place in the National Honor Society
